Space: While space.c no longer works we are attempting to restore space as much as possible. There is beta testing of ships and many things that were removed in transition are being restored.
Plants: Certain areas plants will grown and can be picked and obtained. As plants will be one of many resources which you can accumulate through the game that will assist you.
Food: Consumption of food is now a thing. Mostly for the roleplaying aspect however some foods will give you temporary bonus to your stats
Mining: Using a mix of soft code and hardcode features we have mining that can be used to acquire resources to be used through th egame. The entire periodic table can be obtained through mining.
Fishing: Currently you can only fish in one place on CCII and fishing is "tame" there. However it is planned that fishing on alien worlds may summon a sea monster.
Fish items received for successful catches, worms and rods damaged during fishing. Fishing is masterable skill also.
Equipment: Such as clothing and armor and devices. So now instead of having your description say what you are wearing you actually can wear a clothing or equipment item and get benefits from it. Such as Pressure Suits allowign survival in space.
Screen Reader Support:
While this is raw, we understand that text adventures are nice for people who must use a screen reader. Most MARES in existence currently have a VI support option which can reduce screen reader spam and avoid ASCII art. (mostly)
Mission progression tracking and charcater development. With things like Guilds experience points, and other additional code features of MARE we are able to add more of a game and rich play enviroment than was ever avaliable through MUSE code.
Interactive Enviroments based on Zone.
The MARE codebase contains featuers that allow special settings on Zone Objects that give them "enviroments" such as if plants can be found in an area or if there is air. Space vaccum will automatically kill you unless you have a space suit.
More features I have likely forgotten to mention, however this version of MicroMUSE has great potential and even if we don't have a feature right now that does not mean it will never be added.
